Casual trivia. Knowledge comes first.
Casual trivia is the standard five- or ten-question game. Everyone receives the same surprise mix of mostly typed answers and some four-choice questions. Each correct answer earns 100 points, with a small speed bonus of up to 10 points. Wrong answers, passes and unanswered timeouts earn zero. No Bold Answer token is used in Casual.
How do I start?
- Choose a nickname, a theme, and five or ten questions.
- Keep Casual selected, create a room, and share its invitation.
- Everyone marks Ready; the host starts when all participants are ready.
- After each answer reveal, every participant presses Next to continue.
How are Casual trivia scores calculated?
A correct answer earns 100 points, plus 10 if submitted within five seconds or 5 within ten seconds. Later correct answers earn 100. Wrong answers, passes and 15-second timeouts earn zero. The server applies the same timing rules to everyone.
Does the game automatically move to the next question?
No. The answer timer can close the current question, but after the reveal everyone must press Next before the game advances, including the final move to results.

House rules
- Up to 8 players per room.
- A surprise mix of formats. Most questions use typed answers, with multiple choice mixed in. Everyone gets the same format. Type a recognized alternative or a close spelling; short answers and exact numbers need precision. Any numeric tolerance is stated on that question.
- Correct = 100 points, plus a speed bonus: +10 within 5 seconds, +5 within 10, +0 after that.
- Wrong, pass or timeout = 0. Untimed rooms have no clock and no speed bonus.
- Bold Answer (Strategy, once per match): +50 extra when correct, −50 when wrong. Passes and timeouts remain zero; activating consumes the token.
- 15 seconds to answer. All answers lock on submission. After each reveal, everyone presses Next before the room moves on; there is no automatic advance. Expect roughly 2 minutes for five questions or 4 for ten, plus any time spent reviewing answers.
